CAVES SEARCH
Active search for caves in a given area, through pathway and active. Its objectives are to expand knowledge about speleological heritage and provide data for further studies.
GEOESPELEOLOGY
It provides an understanding of the cave environment (its genesis, chemical and clastic depositions, hydrology, structural features, evolutionary dynamics, among others), adopting, for this purpose, the standards required by (Brazilian Legislation) Instrução Normativa MMA No. 2, 30 de agosto, 2017.
BIOESPELEOLOGY
Study of the hypogeal fauna existing in the cave environment (chiroptera and invertebrates ), using the standards of (Brazilian Legislation) Instrução Normativa MMA No. 2, 30 de agosto, 2017.
ARCHEOLOGY
Studies of archeology, material and immaterial heritage using the standards of (Brazilian Legislation) Instrução Normativa IPHAN 01/2015 and the precepts of Deliberação Normativa CONEP 07/2014 IEPHA.
PALEONTOLOGY
The science that studies fossils as a record of past life and its relationship with environmental changes in the past. Such performance in the private market for the exploitation of mineral resources materializes in the elaboration of Paleontological Heritage Programs, aiming at environmental licensing.
CAVE SURVEY
Survey and mapping cave environment, using techniques standardized by the British Cave Research Association (BCRA) and Union Internationale de Spéléologie (UIS), working with all available levels of detail and applying new technologies that increase the quality of the final product.
ATTRIBUTE ANALYSIS
Joint analysis of the physical and biotic diagnoses, to determine the speleological relevance. This procedure is based on both (Barzilian Legislation) Decreto Federal No. 6,640 7 novembro, 2008, Instrução Normsativa MMA No. 2,30 de agosto, 2017.
CAVE INFLUENCE AREA
Determination of speleological influence area by parameters established by current legislation and based on biotic and physical factors. As supported by paragraphs 2 and 3 of Article 4 of (Brazilian Legislation) Resolução CONAMA No. 347 10 de setembro 2004.
CAVES MONITORING
Monitoring studies of the physical and biotic means of natural underground cavities, registering, observing and characterizing on the site the hypogeal fauna and features of the cave environment, in search of possible impacts that may occur in the speleological environment.
LASER SCANNER
Use of equipment to capture the morphology of the cave environment with a level of detail not possible to achieve in conventional topography, due to the human factor. Allows 3D modeling of the cave environment and speleometry conference.
PHOTOGRAPHIC MONITORING
Photographic records of the cave environment, using methodology and equipment that allow a capture with the highest possible quality of the speleological environment, allowing the identification of possible impacts and proof of the application and success of mitigation measures.
ROPE ACCESS
GEODO Meio Ambiente has in its staff, professionals duly trained and qualified in using techniques and equipment for vertical progression in caves, allowing a broader analysis in difficult to access caves.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT
Study that aims to investigate whether caves, as well as their respective areas of influence, are under the effects of possible environmental impacts. This study comprises biotic and physical factors of the cave environment.
CAVE MANAGEMENT PLAN
It provides an understanding of the cave environment (its genesis, chemical and clastic depositions, hydrology, structural features, evolutionary dynamics, among others), adopting, for this purpose, the standards required by (Brazilian Legislation) Instrução normativa MMA No. 2, 30 de agosto, 2017.
